HCના આદેશ બાદ આરેમાં ઝાડ કાપવાનું શરૂ, બોલિવૂડ સેલેબ્સે કર્યો વિરોધ
મુંબઈની આરે કોલોનીમાં શુક્રવારે ઝાડ કાપવાની શરૂઆત કરવામાં આવી હતી. ઝાડ કાપવાની શરૂઆત થતાં લોકો રસ્તા પર ઊતરી આવ્યા હતા અને વિરોધ કર્યો હતો.
બૉમ્બે હાઈકોર્ટે મુંબઈની આરે કોલોનીમાં મેટ્રોશેડ બનાવવાની મંજૂરી આપતા વિરોધ દર્શાવતી તમામ અરજીઓ ફગાવી દીધી છે. મીડિયાને પણ અંદર જવાની મંજૂરી નથી આપવામાં આવી. 100થી વધુ લોકોની અટકાયત કરવામાં આવી છે. બોલિવૂડ સેલેબ્સ આરે કોલોનીના વૃક્ષને કપાતા તેના વિરોધમાં સોશિયલ મીડિયા પર રોષ ઠાલવી રહ્યાં છે. દિયા મિર્ઝા, વિશાલ દદલાની, સ્વરા ભાસ્કર, આલિયા ભટ્ટે કરન જોહર વૃક્ષ કાપવાનો વિરોધ કરી રહ્યાં છે. દીયા મિર્ઝાએ ટ્વિટર પર લખ્યું કે “શું આ ગેરકાનુની નથી ? જે અત્યારે આરેમાં થઈ રહ્યું છે. શા માટે ? કઈ રીતે ?” આલિયા ભટ્ટે ટ્વિટર અકાઉન્ટ પર પોસ્ટ મૂકીને લખ્યું છે કે, વધતીજતી વસ્તી માટે કન્સ્ટ્રક્શન કરવું જરૂરી છે, પણ આપણને નેચરની પણ જરૂર છે, આપણી જિંદગી તેના પર નિર્ભર છે. આપણને વૃક્ષો અને લીલોતરીની જરૂર છે.There is supposed to be a 15 day waiting period after permission is granted and notice has been uploaded on official website. There's always been a conflict between development & conservation. Yes, the city needs to build infrastructure to support a growing population. But the city also needs trees & parks & greenery. We need to protect nature like life depends on it. Because it does.#LetMumbaiBreathe
