ભારતે 52 વર્ષમાં પહેલી વાર ટાઇટલ જીત્યું
ભારતીય મહિલા ટીમે ઇતિહાસ રચ્યો છે. પહેલા બેટિંગ કરતા ભારતે 50 ઓવરમાં સાત વિકેટે 298 રન બનાવ્યા હતા. જેના જવાબમાં દક્ષિણ આફ્રિકા 246 રનમાં ઓલઆઉટ થઈ ગયું હતું. દીપ્તિ શર્માએ પાંચ વિકેટ ઝડપીને મેચનું પાસું ફેરવી દીધું. દક્ષિણ આફ્રિકાની કેપ્ટન એલ વોલ્વાર્ડટની 101 રનની ઇનિંગ નિષ્ફળ ગઈ હતી. મહિલા વનડે વર્લ્ડ કપના 52 વર્ષના ઇતિહાસમાં આ ભારતનું પ્રથમ વનડે વર્લ્ડ કપ ટાઇટલ છે. 1973માં પહેલો મહિલા વનડે વર્લ્ડ કપ રમાયો હતો. દીપ્તિ ઉપરાંત શેફાલી વર્માએ પણ આ મેચમાં શાનદાર પ્રદર્શન કર્યું. તેણીએ 87 રન બનાવ્યા અને બે વિકેટ લીધી હતી. તેણીને પ્લેયર ઓફ ધ મેચ જાહેર કરવામાં આવી હતી.
કેપ્ટન હરમનપ્રીતે કર્યો ડાન્સ
ટાઇટલ જીત્યા પછી ભારતીય મહિલા ટીમની કેપ્ટન હરમનપ્રીત કૌર, અન્ય ખેલાડીઓની જેમ, પોતાને રોકી શકી નહીં. હરમનપ્રીતના ચહેરા પર વિજયનો આનંદ સ્પષ્ટ દેખાઈ રહ્યો હતો. તેણીએ ટાઇટલ મેચ પહેલા કહ્યું હતું કે ટીમ આ વિજયનો અનુભવ કરવા માંગે છે અને આ દિવસ ભારતનો હતો. બે વાર ટાઇટલ ગુમાવ્યા પછી ભારતીય ટીમ આખરે વિશ્વ ચેમ્પિયન બનવામાં સફળ રહી. વિજય પછી હરમનપ્રીત ભાવુક થઈ ગઈ અને સ્ટાર બેટ્સમેન સ્મૃતિ મંધાનાને ભેટી પડી હતી. બાદમાં તેઓએ ડાન્સ કર્યો હતો.
ખેલાડીઓએ જબરદસ્ત ઉજવણી કરી
ભારતીય ટીમની જીત પછી ખેલાડીઓએ મેદાન પર જબરદસ્ત ઉજવણી કરી હતી. ટીમે નવી મુંબઈના ડીવાય પાટિલ સ્ટેડિયમમાં ટ્રોફી સા ચક્કર લગાવ્યું હતું અને સમગ્ર ટુર્નામેન્ટ દરમિયાન સતત સમર્થન બદલ ચાહકોનો આભાર માન્યો હતો.

આ જીત બાદ સમગ્ર દેશ ઉજવણી કરવા લાગ્યો હતો. ઘણી જગ્યાએ લોકોએ ટીમ ઈન્ડિયાની ઐતિહાસિક સફળતા પર પોતાનો અપાર આનંદ અને ગર્વ વ્યક્ત કરવા માટે ફટાકડા ફોડ્યા અને ધ્વજ લહેરાવ્યા હતા. આ જીત ભારતીય રમતગમતમાં મહિલાઓના વધતા વર્ચસ્વનું પ્રતિક બની ગઈ છે. દિલ્હી, વારાણસી, મુંબઈ સહિતના શહેરોમાં લોકો રસ્તા પર ઉતર્યા હતા અને ભારતીય મહિલા ટીમની જીતની ઉજવણી કરી હતી.
